About the Role
The Shift Manager will be the main point of contact for the team during their working day in the Buffets restaurant department. Reporting to the Venue Manager, the Shift Manager will ensure daily operational plans are fulfilled by ensuring that relevant tasks and objectives are being carried out by the team and that the team is in the right place at the right time to manage fluctuating guest demand while maintaining operational standards and a high guest experience. You will support and coach the team to deliver a great experience and drive key targets such as add-on sales or promotions. This is an operational, guest-facing role, and non-guest-facing tasks will be allocated within your working week to allow you to spend most of your time within your venue and with guests.
Typical working hours cover 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 split shifts. Breakfast shifts are 7:30am - 12pm, dinner shifts are 4pm - 8pm.
About You
We are looking for an experienced leader from within a volume-led F&B environment who can support the team to deliver excellent service. You should have experience in training and coaching teams in a fun-filled environment to deliver an excellent experience. Previous leadership experience in a busy restaurant or food environment where speed and quality are essential is required. You should be confident in directing and responding to any situation while maintaining brand standards. The ability to motivate and engage your team, even during high demand, and to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly is crucial. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire your team to achieve outstanding results for both the team and guests are essential.
