Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a caring BSL Support Assistant to work within a specialist SEND school in Gateshead. You will support deaf and hearing-impaired learners, translate and facilitate communication using BSL, and assist with classroom activities.

Experience with BSL or strong signing ability is essential, along with previous support, care or education experience. You will join a dedicated team and contribute to the social and emotional development of pupils, with safeguarding training

This role would suit individuals from educational, care, support work or community-based backgrounds who have experience communicating using BSL.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
