Job summary

City College Plymouth is seeking a dedicated professional to support students with Hearing Impairment and SEND in a post-16 learning environment. You will help students access the curriculum, participate in college life and develop confidence and independence in learning and life skills.

You will use effective communication, including British Sign Language (BSL), and work with teaching staff and Learning Support to promote inclusion, independence and high expectations for all students.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of supporting students with Hearing Impairment and SEND.
• Commitment to inclusive education and positive student outcomes.
• Ability to adapt communication and support approaches to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students to access the curriculum and participate in learning and college life.
• Provide BSL communication/signing support as required.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, Learning Support colleagues and other professionals to promote inclusion.
• Contribute to an outstanding educational experience for all students.
