A leading healthcare organization in Birmingham seeks a Brokerage Manager to enhance health outcomes through effective commissioning. The brokerage manager is responsible for improving health outcomes and services for individuals by commissioning high-quality, evidence-based, and cost-effective care. This role ensures services align with national policies, local strategies, and legal frameworks, including the NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS-funded nursing care frameworks.
The post involves leading commissioning, contract management, and influencing provision and plans across Birmingham and Solihull ICB. It has a specific focus on commissioning continuing health care for people with learning disabilities and autism. The post holder will collaborate with clinicians and commissioners to fulfill these responsibilities.
Additionally, the role includes deputising for the Senior Administration, PHB & Brokerage Manager, and providing high-level commissioning expertise to ensure the sufficiency of effective, high-quality, and accessible services. The manager will influence market engagement, review provider contracts, and work in partnership with other teams within the ICB, such as contracts, quality, and safety.
