Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd in London is seeking an International Casualty & Financial Lines Technician to cover Open Market and Binding Authority work on a permanent basis. You will be the key link between Brokers, Coverholders, Clients and Underwriters, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Casualty and/or Financial Lines Technician handling Open Market and Binding Authority.
• Extensive knowledge of international business including local taxes, regulatory requirements and clauses.
• Strong track record producing technical documentation (MRC slips, Binder contracts, wordings).

Responsibilities

• Producing MRC and MRCE documentation with correct clauses.
• Reviewing policy wordings against agreed terms.
• Issuing Evidence of Cover and invoices to clients.
• Preparing Binding Authority contracts, lineslip contracts and endorsements.
• Creating off slips and declarations under Binders and Lineslips.
• Supporting Binder renewals and liaising with Coverholders.
• Submitting to the Bureaux and liaising with Brokers, Clients, Underwriters and internal teams.

International Casualty & Financial Lines Technician (Open Market & Binders)

About the company

Our client is an established, independent Lloyd's wholesale broker with deep expertise in the Lloyd's and London Market. It is known for its structured approach and specialist knowledge. Continued growth in its International team has created a permanent opportunity for an experienced International Casualty & Financial Lines Technician.

The role

This is a varied role split equally between Open Market and Binding Authority business. You will work closely with Placing Brokers and the Binder team, handling the technical documentation for International Casualty and Financial Lines risks. You will be the key link between Brokers, Coverholders, Clients, Underwriters and colleagues, making sure every risk is documented accurately, compliantly and on time.

Key responsibilities

Open Market

• Producing MRC and MRCE documentation, making sure all regulatory and territory-specific clauses are correctly included
• Reviewing policy wordings against agreed terms
• Issuing Evidence of Cover and invoices to clients

Binding Authorities

• Preparing Binding Authority and Lineslip contracts and endorsements
• Creating off slips and declarations under Binders and Lineslips
• Supporting Binder renewals and liaising with Coverholders

Across both

• Preparing and making all submissions to the Bureaux
• Liaising regularly with Brokers, Clients, Underwriters and internal teams

About you

• Proven experience as a Casualty and/or Financial Lines Technician handling both Open Market and Binding Authority business
• Extensive knowledge of international business, including local taxes, regulatory requirements and clauses
• A strong track record producing technical documentation, including MRC slips, Binder contracts and wordings
• Highly computer literate, with a keen eye for detail
• A confident communicator who can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
