Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced International Casualty & Financial Lines Technician to join its growing International team. The role splits duties between Open Market and Binding Authority, handling technical documentation and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Casualty and/or Financial Lines Technician handling Open Market and Binding Authority work.
• Strong knowledge of international business, including regulatory requirements and taxes.
• Proven track record producing technical documentation (MRC slips, Binder contracts, wordings).

Responsibilities

• Produce MRC and MRCE documentation with regulatory and territory clauses.
• Review policy wordings against terms and issue Evidence of Cover and invoices.
• Prepare Binding Authority and Lineslip contracts and endorsements, and support renewals.
• Submit all filings to Bureaux and liaise with Brokers, Clients, Underwriters, and internal teams.

About the company

Our client is an established, independent Lloyd's wholesale broker with deep expertise in the Lloyd's and London Market. It is known for its structured approach and specialist knowledge. Continued growth in its International team has created a permanent opportunity for an experienced International Casualty & Financial Lines Technician.

The role

This is a varied role split equally between Open Market and Binding Authority business. You will work closely with Placing Brokers and the Binder team, handling the technical documentation for International Casualty and Financial Lines risks. You will be the key link between Brokers, Coverholders, Clients, Underwriters and colleagues, making sure every risk is documented accurately, compliantly and on time.

Key responsibilities

Open Market

• Producing MRC and MRCE documentation, making sure all regulatory and territory-specific clauses are correctly included
• Reviewing policy wordings against agreed terms
• Issuing Evidence of Cover and invoices to clients

Binding Authorities

• Preparing Binding Authority and Lineslip contracts and endorsements
• Creating off slips and declarations under Binders and Lineslips
• Supporting Binder renewals and liaising with Coverholders

Across both

• Preparing and making all submissions to the Bureaux
• Liaising regularly with Brokers, Clients, Underwriters and internal teams

About you

• Proven experience as a Casualty and/or Financial Lines Technician handling both Open Market and Binding Authority business
• Extensive knowledge of international business, including local taxes, regulatory requirements and clauses
• A strong track record producing technical documentation, including MRC slips, Binder contracts and wordings
• Highly computer literate, with a keen eye for detail
• A confident communicator who can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
