Nexus Trade Credit are seeking a New Business Commercial Underwriter to own broker relationships and grow our portfolio. Based in London or Manchester, you will help shape underwriting strategy and review submissions with a focus on insurable turnovers of up to £10m.

You will represent the company at meetings and events nationwide, underwrite, price and negotiate terms with broking partners, and build a strong personal pipeline while collaborating with Risk Underwriting to deliver optimal

Qualifications

• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent (minimum C grade in Maths and English).
• Demonstrated ability to develop client-focused solutions and long-lasting relationships.
• Proactive in delivering high-quality service and strategic thinking.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite, price and negotiate terms with broking partners according to the company’s strategy.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and prospects to ensure strong submission flow and profitable portfolio growth.
• Achieve new business income targets within turnover segments / nominated brokers.
• Organise, prepare and host strategy meetings with broking partners.
• Manage your personal pipeline of ongoing quotes across the market and present updates internally.
• Collaborate with the Risk Underwriting team to provide the best solutions for brokers and clients.
