Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe invites applications for a Broiler Assistant Farm Manager role on the North Coast of Northern Ireland. You will work with the Farm Manager to drive performance, welfare, and bird quality across a modern broiler farm and deputise when needed.

The ideal candidate has poultry or farming experience, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive, hands-on approach. This role offers development opportunities, practical training, and a clear path toward Farm Management.

Qualifications

• Poultry farming experience or related farming background.
• Strong people and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Previous supervisory experience or leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Farm Manager in day-to-day farm operations.
• Monitor bird performance for weight, quality, welfare and health.
• Manage ventilation, heating, feeding, watering and lighting systems for optimal growth.
• Provide relief cover for Farm Managers as required across the business.
• Maintain accurate records on bird performance, feed, stock and supplies.
• Ensure adequate levels of essential supplies and assist stock ordering.
• Complete and submit weekly returns and operational reports.
• Transport birds to veterinary services and assist with inter-farm deliveries.
• Assist with supervision and development of farm staff.
• Deputise for the Farm Manager during absences and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness and biosecurity to high standards.
