Job summary

ITV Cymru Wales is seeking a skilled Broadcast and Workplace Technology Support Engineer to join our team in Cardiff. You will work with local operations and the Tech Zone to maintain production systems, support daily newsroom operations, and drive local and national projects across ITV networks.

The role requires hands-on experience with modern broadcast tools, solid server management on Windows and macOS, and the ability to solve problems under pressing deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern broadcast production and workplace technology.
• Experience managing servers with Windows and Apple devices.
• Strong analytical problem-solving to meet deadlines.
• Background in a similar or related role.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class technical and operational support across the ITV Cymru Wales licence.
• Engage with ITV technical projects led by Centralised News Technology.
• Ensure local systems and equipment are fully operational for production.
• Support projects driven by the Centralised News Technology team and train colleagues.
• Provide remote and out-of-hours support for home licence and other ITV newsrooms as required.
• Enter records of problems, incidents and certification processes as mandated.
• Collaborate with ITV Tech Zone to resolve workplace technology issues.
