Hamilton Barnes in London is seeking an Event Engineer to join its live sports broadcast team. You will travel to venues worldwide to pre stage, install, operate and pack down broadcast transport equipment, supporting live sports coverage across a global fibre network.

Both graduates and senior engineers are welcome, with the role offering substantial international travel, hands-on mentoring, and a competitive salary package with healthcare and pension.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot live event transport equipment and IP networking on location.
• Support live sports coverage and 24/7 linear TV transport across a global fibre network.
• Pre stage, install, operate and pack down broadcast equipment across international venues.
• Act as the go-to technical expert for clients and production teams, keeping signals running smoothly.
• Travel to a fast-paced international schedule of events, sometimes including extended overseas stays.

Salary: Up to £60,000 for senior engineers, up to £40,000 for junior engineers or graduates, depending on experience

A live sports and events broadcast provider is hiring 4 Event Engineers to join its global broadcast transport team in London. You would travel to venues around the world to pre stage, install, operate and pack down broadcast transport equipment, supporting live sports coverage and 24/7 linear TV across a global fibre network. Both graduates and senior engineers are being considered, so this is open across the seniority range, with the main requirement being a genuine willingness to learn and travel.
