Job summary

State Street seeks an experienced risk manager to join the Business Risk Management team. You will identify and assess risks across business and technology processes, and advise on risk and control design during new tech implementations.

You will support risk programs and governance, coordinate reviews, and promote a culture of accountability. The role emphasizes collaboration across 2nd line, internal audits and regulatory examinations, with a focus on continuous improvement of the BRM

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management within large organizations or G-SIFI contexts.
• Ability to assess risks and controls across business and technology processes.
• Experience with risk reviews, risk reporting, governance activities, and regulatory examinations.
• Knowledge of first, second and third lines of defense.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess risks and controls across business and technology processes.
• Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness through periodic reviews.
• Draft remediation plans and monitor progress to closure.
• Advise on risk and control design with new technologies and processes.
• Support risk programs, risk reviews and governance activities.
• Coordinate for internal and external reviews including audits and examinations.
• Escalate violations and recommend corrective actions.
• Train colleagues in State Street methodologies and promote accountability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Business Risk function.
