Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a freelance Quantity Surveyor to deliver hands-on commercial support on a flagship Bristol project. The role is site-based, with an initial minimum of three months and potential to extend to around 18 months.

Expect to work closely with the business owner and project team in a delivery-focused capacity. The candidate should understand earthworks and civils commercially and be comfortable operating with Excel rather than relying on specialist QS software.

Qualifications

• Experience in earthworks and civils commercial delivery.
• Ability to measure and price works and variations.
• Proven commercial awareness and ability to handle invoicing support using Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on commercial support on site in Bristol.
• Measure and price works and variations.
• Review temporary works/scaffold and related variations.
• Collate labour and plant hours for invoicing records.
• Assist in basic pricing and cost exercises.
• Manage commercial enquiries and maintain records and reporting in Excel.
• Support accurate invoicing and substantiation of completed works.
• Identify opportunities to tighten controls and improve project performance.
