Job summary

Firetecnics, part of the Helix International Group, is seeking a Fire Alarm Service & Maintenance Engineer to cover Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas. The role focuses on planned servicing, fault finding and diagnostics with opportunities to broaden skills across AOV and emergency lighting.

You will work regionally with a strong emphasis on customer sites, delivering compliant tasks, reporting clearly and improving technical breadth as required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fire alarm service and maintenance experience with fault diagnosis.
• Experience with conventional and analogue addressable fire alarm systems.
• Ability to work on customer sites with strong reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839-1:2025 and company procedures.
• Attend reactive fault calls, diagnose system issues and complete first-time fixes where possible.
• Use panel information, event histories, downloads, laptops and relevant software tools to support fault diagnosis.
• Identify defects and remedial requirements, completing small works or repairs as needed.
• Produce accurate engineer reports and compliance documentation.
