Job summary

Randstad Education Leeds is seeking a proactive classroom support assistant to join a Bradford primary school starting this September. You will work closely with mentors to deliver targeted literacy and numeracy support, preparing learning materials and assisting pupils in small groups.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, logging progress, and contributing to a warm, structured learning environment. A DBS update service and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Practical experience working with children in school, nursery, coaching, or volunteering.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher by preparing learning resources and setting up activities.
• Run small-group phonic, reading, and mathematics workshops using structured tools.
• Provide targeted support to children needing extra help to access lessons.
• Supervise children during outdoor playtime, lunch breaks, and school trips.
• Log student progress observations and report insights to the teaching team.
