Job summary

LJ Recruitment Limited is assisting a Maidstone-based Early Years setting to recruit an energetic Early Years Educator. You will care for a key group of children within the EYFS framework, planning engaging activities and supporting their development and wellbeing.

You will work with colleagues to provide a safe, inclusive environment, maintain confidential records and contribute to safeguarding. Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 3 and GCSEs; hours are 35–40 per week at £14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding.
• Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and reporting progress.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a key group of children within the staff-to-child ratio.
• Plan engaging experiences to promote development and curiosity.
• Promote positive behaviour and social skills.
• Maintain daily routines and developmental records using the setting's management system.
• Record observations and link to EYFS learning statements.
• Prepare termly progress reports for key children.
