Job summary

Bright Little Stars in Barnet is offering an Early Years Practitioner Level 3 Apprenticeship. The role involves assisting with planning, engaging children, and maintaining a safe, caring environment while you gain a Level 2 qualification and hands-on experience.

There are two option hours: 40 hours Mon-Fri or 30 hours in Year 1 rising to 40 in Year 2, with hourly pay starting at £8.41 and increasing to £10.92 in year two.

Responsibilities

• Support staff in providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children.
• Assist with planning and setting up learning and play activities.
• Engage with children through play to support their learning and development.
• Help with daily routines such as snack times, meals and tidy-up time.
• Support children with personal care where appropriate (e.g. hand washing, toileting with supervision).
• Observe children and report progress or concerns to senior staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies.

• Bright Little Stars – Barnet, EN5 5EB
• Option 1: 40 hours, Mon-Fri, shifts rotating 8am-5pm/9am-6pm
• Option 2: 30 hours, Mon-Fri, shifts set 9am-3:30pm for 1st year, then 2nd year will increase to 40 hours.
• Salary - £8.41 per hour in the first year then increase to £10.92 in the second year.
