Job summary

Bright Horizons Hove Day Nursery and Preschool is looking for a flexible Nursery Practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team. You will support colleagues with EYFS delivery, engage children in learning through play, and help with day-to-day tasks such as tidying rooms and preparing activities.

We welcome applicants with a Level 3+ Early Years qualification and prior experience with children. This role offers agency-style flexibility with the security and benefits of being employed by Bright

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with children in roles such as Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny or Childminder is desirable.
• Strong passion for making learning fun and engaging for children.
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the EYFS through engaging, educational activities.
• Assist with daily tasks such as tidying rooms and preparing activities.
• Work as part of a larger team to ensure routines and safety are maintained.
• Contribute to a warm, inclusive environment for children and families.

Salary – Starting from £13.50 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Bright Horizons Hove Day Nursery and Preschool.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
