Job summary

Hull City Council is offering a trainee Bridge Technician role within its Major Projects and Infrastructure Team in Hull. You will train under Bridge Engineers to gain practical experience in bridge maintenance, inspections, and project delivery from design through to site.

The program aims to graduate you to a full technician role, with potential to progress toward Bridge Engineer capabilities as competencies are achieved.

Qualifications

• Existing civil engineering background and qualifications, or a desire to train to achieve the same.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bridge Engineers in developing high quality civil engineering projects.
• Take notes, update logs, and maintain accurate site records and directives.
• Attend bridge inspections and site visits to support design and construction.
• Contribute to design guidance and practice within the team.
