Roughan & O'Donovan (ROD) is seeking a talented bridge design engineer for a permanent position in Leeds. This role involves providing design input to bridges and civil structures, collaborating with senior bridge teams across Ireland and the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in bridge detailed design.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes in bridge design.
• Experience of working independently on detailed bridge design.

Responsibilities

• Provide design input to multidisciplinary civil-structural projects.
• Undertake preliminary and detailed design work, including analyses.
• Support project delivery within agreed timeframes.

Skills

Bridge structure analytical modelling

Structural analysis software knowledge

Fluent in spoken and written English

Excellent numerical and analytical skills

Meticulous in detailing

Experience in design standards and legislation

Education

Chartered status with ICE or IStructE

Degree in Civil Engineering

Tools

Finite element analysis software
