Arup is seeking a Bridge and Civil Structures Principal Engineer to lead design delivery across rail, highway, stations and deep retaining structures. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from feasibility through detailed design, construction support and long‑term asset management, with strong client‑facing and reporting skills.
A Chartered status is preferred and you will mentor junior engineers while supporting bids and developing best practice.

We work on a diverse portfolio of projects, from complex rail and highway bridges to station structures, deep retaining solutions and renewable energy infrastructure. Our focus is on delivering high‑quality design and consultancy services that add real value for our clients and the communities we serve.
In this role, you’ll contribute to projects at every stage — from feasibility and scheme design through to detailed design, construction support and long‑term asset management. You’ll play a key role in leading technical delivery within multidisciplinary teams, supporting bids, shaping best practice and helping develop the next generation of engineers within the group.
