Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Brickwork Technician for a well-established Further Education college in Birmingham on a full-time, ongoing temporary basis. The role focuses on keeping workshops well‑stocked, safe and ready for hands-on teaching.

You will support practical Brickwork sessions, maintain bays and equipment, monitor stock and assist with assessments and events in a busy training environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Brickwork, Construction, or a related trade.
• Industry experience in brickwork or construction.
• Knowledge of bricklaying tools, materials and workshop environments.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workshops, materials, tools and equipment for Brickwork lessons.
• Maintain brickwork bays, construction areas and resources.
• Assist lecturers and learners during practical sessions.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with orders for materials/equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs on tools and equipment.
• Ensure workshops comply with health and safety regulations and college policies.
• Assist with setting up assessments, demonstrations, open days and student events.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment servicing and safety checks.
