Job summary

Macclesfield College is seeking a Lecturer in Brickwork at our Macclesfield Campus to deliver high-quality education to 16+ learners. You will contribute to a growing construction curriculum, teaching across multiple areas and collaborating with colleagues to meet industry needs locally and nationally.

Experience in teaching and willingness to train is valued; a teaching qualification and assessor award are advantageous and training will be provided to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience or qualification is preferred.
• Experience in brickwork is desirable.
• Applicant should be capable of delivering across construction topics.

Responsibilities

• Plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes.
• Assess learners work against awarding body criteria (formative and summative).
• Comply with college quality assurance procedures for audits.
• Prepare teaching materials and use varied teaching methods.
• Maintain up-to-date syllabus and scheme of work for courses.
