Job summary

Winner Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Bricklayer to perform brickwork repairs and general building works within occupied and void properties in Merseyside. You will interpret drawings, plan instructions and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires reading plans, applying mortar, shaping bricks, and delivering first-time fixes while maintaining high customer satisfaction. A full UK driving license and experience in housing maintenance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven bricklaying experience in repairs/construction.
• Able to read drawings, plans, and specs.
• Strong health and safety knowledge on sites.
• Social housing or property maintenance experience desirable.
• Able to work independently with good time management.
• Detail-oriented with pride in workmanship.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out bricklaying works including repairs to walls, structures and brickwork features.
• Work from plans, specifications and job instructions to complete works to the required standard.
• Prepare and apply mortar and ensure correct alignment and positioning of materials.
• Cut and shape bricks and blocks using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Carry out repairs to brickwork, blockwork and related structures.
• Ensure work areas are safe, tidy and compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
• Complete job records and documentation accurately using PDA or digital systems.
• Work collaboratively with other operatives and support apprentices where required.
• Deliver a high standard of workmanship with a strong focus on first-time fix.
• Provide a professional service to residents while working in occupied properties.
