Job summary

Bassetlaw District Council in Worksop is seeking a skilled maintenance operative to deliver a broad range of housing maintenance work across our stock, including plastering, roofing repairs, drainage, tiling, concreting and general repairs.

You will need an NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying or Building Construction, solid maintenance experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and participate in an out-of-hours rota.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Bricklaying or Building Construction.
• Solid experience in a building maintenance environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with tenants and colleagues.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines under pressure, and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of building maintenance work across housing stock, including plastering, roofing repairs (working at height), drainage, tiling, concreting, and general repair and replacement works.
• Participate in an out-of-hours rota, including evenings and weekends.
• Collaborate with tenants and colleagues to ensure high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
