An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who is time served as a bricklayer on the Network Management and Construction team.
Newcastle is an ambitious City, it always has been. It's an iconic City with a rich heritage but one that also shapes the future of the region.
Here at Newcastle City Council, we have a real passion to improve the lives of residents and visitors in the City through the wide variety of essential public services we deliver and the relationships we influence. From our City leaders to every member of our team, we’re all committed to making Newcastle a City that is vibrant and thriving.
We want you to help us make Newcastle a great place to work, visit, and live in.
Everyone who works within one of our valuable public services makes an important contribution to delivering our vision and priorities of the city. How we do things is as important as what we do. In everything we do, we strive to embed and live the Council’s values:
You will work on Major Highway Projects including Public Realm Works, Capital projects, and small, planned highway maintenance projects. Responsibilities include constructing retaining walls, boundary walls, and steps; interpreting detailed design drawings related to these works. You will provide advice and guidance to colleagues and apprentices while complying with Newcastle City Council's policies and procedures.
We seek an individual with time served as a bricklayer, knowledgeable about construction-related health and safety issues, to support environmental improvement schemes on residential properties across the city. The candidate should be a team player with attention to detail, capable of reading detailed plans, and working within regulations to ensure safety for residents and visitors.
We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, fostering an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Our team delivers vital services and maintains infrastructure that benefits our communities.
If you want to be part of a team making a citywide difference, we want to hear from you.
