Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves are recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across the Brent borough, with both short-term and long-term work available for the right candidates. Immediate start and flexible, full-time opportunities at Brent schools are offered.

You will supervise KS3/KS4 classes, deliver pre-planned work, and help maintain a calm, focused learning environment. Enhanced DBS is essential and prior classroom or youth work experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.
• Experience in classroom, tutoring, coaching, mentoring or youth work preferred.
• Confident leading a classroom of secondary-aged pupils.
• Calm, firm and fair approach to behaviour management.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Reliable, professional and able to adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 when teachers are absent.
• Deliver pre-planned work and keep pupils focused.
• Manage behaviour calmly and consistently.
• Maintain a purposeful classroom environment.
• Support pupils with routines, expectations and engagement.
• Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders.
