Job summary

NHS Highland invites applications for an Assistant Practitioner (Band 4) based in the Raigmore Hospital, Inverness area, covering the Highland Breast Centre. The role is 1.0 WTE / 36 hours, with some part-time consideration.

Salary scales £31,537 - £34,303 for WTE, and a commitment to travel for mobile screening is required. The successful candidate will hold an HECert in Mammography or equivalent, and may need to undertake a Certificate HE in Mammography.

Qualifications

• HECert in Mammography or 2 passes at Higher grade or equivalent.
• Must undertake Certificate HE in Mammography through Queen Margaret University.
• Full driving licence is essential; car access desirable for mobile work.

Responsibilities

• Provide Breast Screening and a Symptomatic Service across a large area.
• Work on the mobile screening unit and at the Highland Breast Centre, Raigmore Hospital.
• Travel extensively throughout the North of Scotland on a regular basis.
