Job summary

The post holder is a GMC-registered consultant at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust and will provide clinical leadership for the Imaging Service. The role includes teaching, CME attendance, and participation in the Trust education programme alongside mentoring and development opportunities.

Candidates will work in a multidisciplinary environment across radiology teams, participate in MDTs, audits and research, and ensure adherence to UK guidelines on consent, risk management and consent

Responsibilities

• Provide effective clinical leadership for all staff in the service through positive collaboration with colleagues
• Undertake such other duties as may be identified to meet the needs of the service; emergency cover for colleagues during periods of absence
• Carry out teaching duties and take an active role in the Postgraduate Medical Education programme and in the teaching of junior medical staff
• Be involved in the education of nursing staff, General Practitioners and other clinical professions
• Attend Radiology team meetings and MDTs, including cross cover for other sites
• Have continuing responsibility for patients in care and for the proper functioning of the department
• Understand UK guidelines regarding consent, risk management and pre/post IR procedure patient management
• Take part in team, department, regional and national audits
• Be involved in research where appropriate
• Participate in the management of the Imaging Service
