Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust invites a Breast Radiologist to join its cohesive breast imaging team within a dedicated unit for symptomatic and screening services. The post supports subspecialty development, flexible on-call and a strong teaching environment.

The successful applicant will join 33 Consultants and contribute to the general radiology on-call rota, while engaging in undergraduate and postgraduate education and clinical governance processes.

Qualifications

• Specialist radiology qualification in breast imaging (FRCR or equivalent).
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register in Clinical Radiology or eligible within six months of interview.
• Teaching, audit and clinical governance experience desired.
• Ability to contribute to the general departmental workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide Breast Radiology services with prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness.
• Support and ensure efficient functioning of the Breast Radiology service.
• Cover for colleagues' annual leave and absences.
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to education.
• Participate in medical audit and CPD.
