Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Breast Imaging Specialty Doctor to support our interventional breast imaging service on a fixed term maternity basis.

The role involves independent breast and axillary ultrasound examinations, ultrasound-guided biopsies, aspirations, drainages, localisations, and stereotactic-guided procedures, as well as mammography reporting for symptomatic, surveillance and family history cases, with MDT participation.

Qualifications

• Experience in breast imaging and ultrasound assessments.
• Competence in ultrasound-guided interventions including biopsies and aspirations.
• Experience with stereotactic-guided procedures and mammography reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present cases at Breast MDT meetings.
• Independently perform breast and axillary ultrasound examinations.
• Carry out ultrasound-guided biopsies, aspirations, drainages and localisations.
• Perform stereotactic-guided core biopsies and vacuum-assisted biopsies.
• Report symptomatic, surveillance and family history mammograms.
