Job summary

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a Specialty Doctor in the Breast Services department. The post is fixed term for 1 year and requires GMC registration with a license to practice by the start date.

The role is non-operative and focuses on 2WW Triple Assessment Clinics within the outpatient Breast Service. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to structured assessments, clinical history taking and participation in 2WW pathways

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice by the intended start date.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structured clinical assessment of patients presenting with breast symptoms.
• Take an appropriate breast and relevant medical history.
• Perform clinical breast examination.
• Participate in Triple Assessment Clinics alongside ANPs, PAs, Consultant Breast Surgeons and the Breast Radiology team.
• The postholder will work alongside and as part of the existing clinical team of Consultant Breast Surgeons, ANPs and PAs.
