Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a self-motivated Breast Care Nurse to join our Breast Care team across Peterborough (with possible cross-cover at Hinchingbrooke). You will work with Breast Care Specialists to deliver high quality, compassionate care to patients across the service.

Candidates must have 3 years post-registration nursing experience with at least 2 years in Breast Care, Oncology, Women's Health or Surgical setting, plus a recognised teaching qualification.

Job description

We are seeking a self-motivated, dynamic individual to join our Breast Care team.

As a Breast Care Nurse you will work closely with the Breast Care Nurse Specialists and wider teams to deliver high quality, compassionate care to our patients across the service.

The Breast Service delivers both symptomatic and screening activity within an outpatient setting as well as inpatient care. Services are run across our NWAFT sites.

Candidates must have 3 years post registration nursing experience with at least 2 years within Breast Care, Oncology, Women's Health or a Surgical setting. You must have excellent communication skills and diplomacy skills. You should hold a recognised teaching qualification.

You will need to be hard working, flexible and dedicated to supporting Breast patients and their families at a difficult time in their lives. The work is varied and challenging but also very rewarding.

This post whilst predominately based at Peterborough may require some cross cover at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
