Job summary

The Royal Marsden is seeking a Band 6 Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator to join the Breast Research team on a 15-month fixed-term secondment ending 28 January 2028. The role offers breadth across trial set-up, delivery and oversight, with opportunities to supervise other research staff and contribute to unit development.

We require strong clinical trials experience, excellent organisation and communication skills, and a genuine commitment to high-quality cancer research.

Qualifications

• Experience in a clinical trial setting as a Clinical Trial Coordinator.
• Understanding of clinical trials and research regulations.
• Experience in the NHS or equivalent and oncology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure trials are conducted in line with GCP and Trust SOPs.
• Convey Clinical R&D Office requirements to clinical staff.
• Provide efficient coordination service and ensure regulatory approvals.
• Oversee trials and maintain day-to-day responsibility for assigned trials.
• Represent the unit at meetings and deputise for the Research Operations Manager
• Oversee and line manage junior research staff where appropriate
