Job summary

The Christie Private Care in Manchester is seeking a Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead specialist nursing care for patients with breast cancer. You will coordinate care across the breast cancer pathway, acting as a key contact for patients and families to ensure informed, compassionate support throughout treatment.

Applicants should be an experienced nurse with current NMC registration and substantial CNS or Band 6 level breast services experience.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience as Breast Cancer CNS or Band 6+ within breast services, surgical oncology or clinical oncology.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload of breast cancer patients across the pathway.
• Deliver holistic assessments, clinical advice and emotional support to patients and families.
• Coordinate care with consultants, surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
• Advocate for patients within MDT meetings and support service development.
• Provide cross-site cover and support to ensure continuity of care.
