Job summary

Deeside Cereals in Connah's Quay, United Kingdom, is seeking a production operative to support weekly manufacturing. You will help ensure a steady supply of raw materials and packaging, adjust the production line and maintain documentation for output and quality.

The role requires basic English and maths, familiarity with GMP, and a forklift licence is advantageous. You will work closely with QA and Engineering to resolve issues and keep production running safely.

Qualifications

• Basic English and maths required.
• Solid understanding of GMP in a food manufacturing setting.
• FLT licence is advantageous for handling materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure weekly production can be completed on the plant.
• Maintain continuous supply of raw materials and packaging to the line.
• Adjust machinery to maximise production efficiency.
• Order correct volumes from Warehouse to meet daily plan.
• Complete production outputs and material usage documentation.
• Assist induction of new or temporary operators.
• Handle line changeovers, strip downs and re-assembly.
• Maintain production line in good condition to meet weekly plan.
• Carry out safety checks before daily production starts.
• Ensure quality and quantity of finished product and paperwork.
• Use initiative to fix production faults and stoppages.
• Communicate with QA and Engineering when issues arise.
