Job description

Are you passionate about working with children and helping them start their day in a positive, nurturing environment? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Aragon Primary School is a thriving, inclusive, and ambitious school at the heart of our community. We are proud of our warm and welcoming atmosphere, our dedicated staff team, and our commitment to ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their very best. We believe that children flourish when they feel safe, happy, and engaged, and this ethos runs through everything we do.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast Club Assistant to join The Hive, our popular before-school provision. The Hive is much more than a breakfast club; it provides children with a positive start to the day through caring relationships, engaging activities, and a calm environment where they can socialise, develop confidence, and prepare for learning.

The successful candidate will help create a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable setting for our pupils while supporting the daily running of the club. Duties will include preparing and serving breakfast, setting up and leading activities, supervising children, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring high standards of safeguarding, welfare, and care at all times. The hours of work will be 7.15am - 8.45am, Monday - Friday.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and building positive relationships.
  • Is caring, enthusiastic, and approachable.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
  • Is reliable, organised, and able to use their initiative.
  • Shares our values of inclusion, respect, and high expectations for all children.

In return, Aragon Primary School offers:

  • Friendly and supportive colleagues.
  • Wonderful children who are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • A welcoming school community.
  • Opportunities for training and professional development.
  • The chance to make a real difference to children\'s daily experiences.

If you would like to join a school where every child matters and where staff work together to create an exceptional learning environment, we would be delighted to receive your application.

Please note: We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should a suitable candidate be identified before the closing date. Early applications are therefore encouraged.

Aragon Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.

Please note: We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should a suitable candidate be identified before the advertised closing date. We therefore encourage interested applicants to submit their application as soon as possible.
