Derby Midland Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western, is seeking a skilled Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard, ensuring food is presented attractively and served with care.

As part of our team you will maintain hygiene, assist with stock management, and support a smooth breakfast service. Experience in breakfast production and a calm, organized approach are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar kitchen role
• Ability to work early shifts and manage breakfast service
• Pride in producing well‑cooked, well‑presented food consistently
• Hygiene, cleanliness and organisation are essential

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of breakfast dishes, including eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, pastries and other breakfast items
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, with care and attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, equipment and workstations
• Support the ordering and management of kitchen supplies and stock levels
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support a smooth and efficient service
• Keep work areas clean, organised and well maintained
• Assist with the training and support of junior kitchen team members when required

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and play a key role in creating a positive start to our guests’ day.
