Job summary

The Mitre is seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our Kitchen team in Hampton Court. You will support breakfast service across our 40-bedroom hotel, ensuring high quality, consistency, and waste control.

You will maintain stocks, prepare mise en place, and work under the Sous/Head Chef, while mentoring junior staff and upholding hygiene standards. We offer competitive pay, training, and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a breakfast chef in a hotel or busy kitchen.
• Ability to manage mise en place and prep for breakfast service.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stocks and ensure ingredients are fresh and well stored.
• Prepare mise en place for breakfast section under guidance of Head/Sous Chef.
• Ensure dishes are prepared to recipe cards with correct portions to minimise waste.
• Garnish and present dishes to the prescribed standard and keep an eye on portion control.
• Mentor and support junior chefs during training and shifts.
