Derby Midland Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western is seeking a skilled Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and start guests' day with well-presented, quality breakfast dishes.

You will prepare and cook a range of breakfast items, maintain high hygiene standards, and support stock management. Experience in breakfast service and a calm, efficient kitchen mindset are essential. Join our team for early shifts and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
• Enjoys early shifts and breakfast service.
• Takes pride in producing well‑cooked, well‑presented food consistently.
• Works calmly and efficiently in a structured kitchen environment.
• Understands the importance of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of breakfast dishes, including eggs, bacon, sausages, toast and pastries.
• Ensure food is presented to a high standard with care.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen areas and equipment.
• Support ordering and management of kitchen supplies and stock levels.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
• Work with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Assist with training and supporting junior kitchen team members when required.
