Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management Ltd is seeking a Breakfast Chef for The Duke of Cornwall Hotel in Plymouth. You’ll own the breakfast service, cook high-quality dishes and ensure guests start their day with confidence.

The role requires passion for food, pace during busy mornings, excellent organisation and good food hygiene. You’ll join a supportive kitchen team with a busy, rewarding schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or similar in a hotel, restaurant or busy kitchen.
• Genuine passion for food and pride in delivering delicious, well-presented dishes.
• Confidence managing breakfast service, working independently during busy periods.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management.
• Commercial awareness: portion control, stock management and reducing waste.
• Positive, reliable and flexible attitude to support the wider kitchen team.
• Enjoy early starts and delivering a great breakfast experience every morning.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the breakfast service, preparing and cooking breakfasts that give guests a fantastic start to their day.
• Preparing and presenting a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring everything looks great and tastes delicious.
• Managing breakfast preparation and keeping the kitchen organised, stocked and ready for service.
• Working with the Food & Beverage team to deliver a seamless breakfast experience.
• Maintaining HACCP and hygiene standards, ensuring cleanliness.
• Monitoring stock, controlling waste and supporting food cost management.
• Catering for dietary requirements and allergies with care.
• Bringing a positive attitude and fresh ideas to continually improve breakfast offering.
