Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Breakfast Chef for the Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre. You will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering high-quality breakfast service and maintain HACCP standards in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

You will cover breakfast shifts (five days a week) and work as part of a supportive team dedicated to exceptional guest experiences. Opportunities to develop within the Dalata Academy are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working in hotel kitchens or similar food service environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to maintain composure and quality under pressure.
• Knowledge of HACCP procedures and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Lead and manage breakfast shifts, 5 days out of 7.
• Monitor food quality, portions and presentation to HACCP standards.
• Support hygiene, storage and stock control across breakfast service.
• Follow Head Chef’s guidance to maintain efficiency and excellence.

Your Job:

• Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef with the overall running of the kitchen.
• Be responsible for the breakfast shifts, 5 days out of 7 days.
• Take direction from department managers and assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards.
• Follow the talented Head chef's example of excellence and efficiency.
• Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times
• Support your fellow kitchen staff in observing appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation and storage.

What You'll Need:

• Have previous experience working within hotels or in a similar role.
• Have a passion for and genuine interest in food.
• Have a mature and pleasant manner for dealing with customers and team members.
• Be a team player.
• Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Have good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.
