Job summary

Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in Knutsford seeks a passionate Breakfast Chef to lead the breakfast service, delivering both traditional and innovative dishes showcasing premium ingredients.

You will manage mise en place, maintain top hygiene standards, contribute to menu ideas, and mentor junior kitchen staff while coordinating with front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef in a 4/5-star hotel or luxury property.
• Strong knowledge of high-quality ingredients and modern breakfast techniques.
• Ability to produce consistently excellent dishes under pressure.
• Familiarity with HACCP, food hygiene, and health & safety standards.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for creativity, presentation, and delivering luxury guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present breakfast dishes to the highest standard, including hot and cold items, pastries, baps, and Grab & Go options.
• Manage section mise en place and ensure all ingredients are fresh, labelled, and stored correctly.
• Maintain the highest levels of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and presentation standards.
• Assist in menu planning, contributing creative ideas and seasonal inspiration.
• Monitor stock levels and collaborate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
• Lead, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff during breakfast service.
• Ensure smooth service and coordination with front-of-house teams.
