Job summary

Upham Inns is seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our team. You will prepare and plate breakfast dishes, support senior chefs, and ensure high quality food and presentation in a busy kitchen.

The role requires independent work, strong communication, and a willingness to train junior staff. Weekend availability and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a Chef.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Availability to work weekends as required by the business.
• Excellent communication, culinary and presentation skills.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate breakfast dishes to menu specs.
• Assist senior chefs with ingredient prep and mise en place.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
• Cook orders to guest preferences and chef directives.
• Coach junior staff to perform at their best and follow safety practices.
• Collaborate with restaurant team and administrative staff as needed.

Breakfast chef Requirements:

• The ability to work well independently and multi-task.
• Experience in a similar role or a keen interest in pursuing a culinary career.
• The ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured environment.
• Availability to work shifts, including weekends as per business needs.
• Be a strong Chef, with the ability to train, Coach and develop junior chefs
• At least 1 year experience as a Chef
• Great communication skills
• Right to Work in the UK

Breakfast Chef Responsibilities:

• Preparing and plating up breakfast dishes in an efficient manner and using the menu specs provided.
• Preparing ingredients for senior chefs, ensuring great attention to detail for the menu specs provided.
• Working to a high standard to ensure customers receive the best quality food.
• Complying with all health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Cooks guests' orders according to their preferences
• Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
• Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces
• Coaches other chef's and other members of the kitchen staff, so they perform at their best
• Takes direction and works with the restaurant's administrative team

beautiful and individual premium pubs across Southern England. Our pubs are in
idyllic settings in country villages and towns, where we are proud to be the
quality local of the area, serving high quality fresh pub food in a cozy pub ambience.
Most of our pubs have some Charming Bedrooms as well. New to our growing family
is Harper’s Steakhouse, a new premium American Steakhouse brand that we started
rolling out last year.
