The Glasgow Marriott Hotel is seeking a Casual Breakfast Chef to join our Culinary team and help start guests’ days with high-quality breakfast offerings.

You will work in a fast-paced hotel kitchen, delivering fresh breakfast dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the team during busy morning periods. The role suits a motivated chef with a passion for hospitality and quality food.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Breakfast Chef, Commis Chef, or Chef de Partie in a hotel, restaurant, or similar setting.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes to brand standards.

The Glasgow Marriott Hotel is located in the heart of Glasgow, close to popular attractions such as the OVO Hydro, Hampden Park, and the University of Glasgow. Following an exciting refurbishment, our hotel now features modern guest rooms and newly refreshed restaurant and bar spaces, offering a vibrant environment for both guests and associates.

The Role

As a Breakfast Chef, you’ll play an important role in delivering a high-quality breakfast experience for our guests in the Cast Iron Restaurant. You’ll prepare and present fresh breakfast dishes, maintain excellent kitchen standards, and ensure smooth service during busy morning periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes to brand standards and specifications
• Manage your section during service and support the wider kitchen team
• Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organised, and compliant with food safety standards
• Prepare ingredients and maintain stock readiness for service
• Deliver consistent quality and presentation in all breakfast items
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient breakfast service

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable chef with a passion for hospitality and quality food.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Commis Chef, or Chef de Partie in a hotel, restaurant, or similar environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Good attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene standards
• Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends
