Job summary

Meldrum House Hotel in Scotland is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead breakfast service in our newly refurbished kitchen. You will prepare hot and cold breakfast items, including brunch options, for guests and staff, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.

• Demonstrated experience as Breakfast Chef or Commis Chef.
• Experience in a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and service of breakfast hot items plated for individual guests and buffet style for groups.
• Preparation and presentation of cold breakfast items for display.
• Delivery of brunch options across the business areas.
• Producing nutritious employee lunches to Company standards.
• Supporting brigade members to prepare items for service.
• Adhere to all food safety and health and safety guidelines.

The role:

As a Breakfast Chef,you’ll be responsible for delivering a high level of food to all our guests. Working in our newly refurbished and extended state of the art main kitchen you’ll be responsible for:

• Preparation and service of breakfast hot items both plated for individual guests and buffet style for those staying with us as part of a group,
• Preparation and presentation of cold breakfast items for display.
• Delivery of brunch options within all areas of the business.
• Producing nutritious employee lunches to Company standards..
• Supporting other members of the brigade if necessary to prepare items for service.
• Adhere to all food safety and health and safety guidelines.

About you

As a Breakfast Chef, you’ll work alongside an award-winning Executive Head Chef and brigade and be part of a growing team who pride themselves in delivering a first-class product every time.

We ask that you take pride in your work and have a willingness to learn. You’ll have a real passion for food, and excellent attention to detail to provide consistent standards. You’ll also:

• Demonstrate previous experience at Breakfast Chef or Commis Chef level.
• Demonstrate previous experience in a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Be self-aware and able to evaluate your own work.
