Job summary

Thornbury Castle is seeking a talented Breakfast Chef to join the brigade in our historic Tudor castle hotel. You will contribute to creating memorable 5-dish experiences for guests, under the guidance of our Executive Chef, while maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation.

Experience in breakfast service and high-end restaurants is essential, with a professional approach and strong team communication. Salary comes with a share of service and tips, in a full-time 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Professional approach to work and standards
• 3AA rosette or Michelin experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and service the breakfast section to a high standard
• Support the brigade and assist colleagues as needed

Relais & Châteaux at Thornbury Castle is seeking a Breakfast Chef to join our Brigade of talented Chefs. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, mentored by our exceptional Executive Chef, David William, creating truly memorable and impressive 5*dishes for our guests.

About Us

Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has almost completed a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. our food style is modern British using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and around the southwest. We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch as well as the occasional wedding and functions.

Job Description

• Experience in breakfast and high-end restaurants
• You will be responsible for the preparation and service of the breakfast section, supporting the team and helping colleagues
• Bringing a calm, mature approach with a resilient nature that thrives under pressure
• Natural ability as a chef with outstanding attention for detail
• Dedicated, excellent team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative and the Ambition to succeed at the highest levels
• Strictly follow all food safety and health & safety procedures

Additional Information

• Full time permanent position 40 hours per week ( 5 days a week)
• Salary £31000k per annum
• An additional monthly share of service charge and tips
