Job summary

Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Bath invites a Breakfast Assistant to join our vibrant team. You will collaborate with the food and beverage leadership to drive guest satisfaction and the overall success of the hotel dining service.

The role requires a friendly, detail-oriented individual with a passion for hospitality, capable of delivering excellent service in a busy setting. Flexible hours and shifts are available, with meals on shift provided.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about hospitality and guest service.
• Excellent personal presentation and communication skills are essential.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages as requested by guests.
• Set tables and ensure readiness to welcome guests.
• Take and execute guest orders promptly.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards in Food & Beverage outlets.
• Know the food and beverage menu and assist guests with questions.

We are currently looking for a Breakfast Assistant to join our Truly Talented team.

Your role

You will work closely with the food and beverage leadership team in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

Responsibilities of Breakfast Assistant will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests;
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times;
• Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner;
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets;
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu;
• Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection;
• Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

The Core Skills And Experience Required To Succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
