Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market-leading Machine Tool manufacturer with a long-standing industry presence. Due to increased demand within the department, our client now requires a Machine Tool Breakdown and Maintenance Engineer based in the Ipswich, Suffolk area (within 30 miles). 365 Resourcing is the supplier to Mazak.

The Role

The purpose of the Machine Tool Breakdown and Maintenance Engineer role includes:

1. Service and repair CNC Machines.
2. Work to schedules to meet customer demands.
3. Provide first-class service to customers.
4. Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety guidelines.

The Candidate

Requirements and qualifications for the Machine Tool Breakdown and Maintenance Engineer include:

• Knowledge of CNC machine tools and servicing/repairing them.
• Mechanical bias with ability to handle electrical tasks as required.
• Ability to diagnose CNC faults using PLC.
• Knowledge and understanding of servo systems (Mitsubishi and Siemens are an advantage).
• Highly motivated, proactive, and innovative to improve processes.
• Clear communication skills at all levels of the customer organization.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Flexible approach to a varied workload.

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with additional overtime and weekends when required.
• Overtime paid at time and a third for the first 2 hours, then time and a half thereafter. Saturday at time and a half, and Sunday double time.
