The Opportunity:

The Defence & Security Portfolio hosts a series of market-leading events across the UK, Europe, and Asia. These events range from Confexes to large-scale exhibitions, all of which are leaders in their respective fields. Over the next 12 months, we will continue to expand and innovate, exploring new geographies and platforms.

We are looking for a Brand Marketing Executive to join our dynamic marketing team and support the Brand Manager across our portfolio of brands.

You will play a key role in developing our brand propositions, utilizing customer research and insights to inform product development, branding, and tone of voice across channels and assets.

You will ensure our brand tone, look, and feel are consistent and resonate with our audiences, working with the Campaigns team to reflect this in our campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the development and execution of event strategies that increase brand awareness, engage customers, and grow our events.
  2. Ensure key messages, brand guidelines, and tone of voice are embedded in all customer touchpoints.
  3. Act as a brand and customer champion internally and externally.
  4. Understand the customer value journey for key audiences, working with the Brand Manager and Marketing Operations to monitor KPIs and optimize performance.
  5. Manage partnership agreements with media partners, associations, affiliates, and other stakeholders.
  6. Assist in training agencies (PR, creative, digital marketing) to ensure brand consistency.
  7. Support plans to grow our customer database and ensure continuous growth.
  8. Participate in research and insight projects related to customer experience and brand development.
  9. Collaborate within the marketing team to maximize promotional opportunities and share best practices.
  10. Update backend systems, web pages, landing pages, and content to ensure messaging and SEO best practices.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
  1. Proven experience in brand marketing and successful campaign delivery.
  2. Experience in developing insight programmes to understand customer needs.
  3. Successful partnership building and stakeholder engagement.
  4. Research and analysis skills to measure channel effectiveness.
  5. Experience in creating customer care strategies and enhancing customer experience.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively within a small to medium-sized team.
  7. Knowledge of marketing automation and CRM platforms such as Pardot and Salesforce is highly desirable.
  8. Experience with digital event platforms is a plus.
  9. Understanding of GDPR laws, privacy policies, and preference centres.
  10. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  11. Curiosity and motivation to make an impact.
  12. Experience in updating websites, landing pages, content, and SEO best practices.
