Overview

Role: Branch Sales Manager / Sales Office Manager

Location: Dudley Area

Sector: Timber / Building Materials / Construction Supplies / Builders Merchants

Package: £40,000 - £47,000 + Bonus - No Weekend Work!

The role leads a sales team within a busy Builders Merchants / Timber Merchant environment, reporting directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a sales team within a busy builders/ timber merchant operation.
  • Maintain profitability of the branch, drive productivity, and support the welfare of the sales team.
  • Manage relationships with larger accounts and potentially handle some key customers personally.
  • Utilize strong communication, attention to detail, and exemplary people skills in daily activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet sales targets and customer needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Demonstrable sales management experience in the building materials sector.
  • Background in builders merchants or timber/ timber products is preferred; full training will be provided for the range stocked.
  • Knowledge of timber products is beneficial, but not mandatory if coming from a general merchants background; timber knowledge should exist in the skill set.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills; ability to impart knowledge and inspire a dedicated team.
  • Excellent communication and strong attention to detail.
